About the FitnessGram
Launched in 1982 to support the transition from sport-related fitness to health-related fitness, The Cooper Institute’s flagship youth program, FitnessGram®, assesses youth health-related fitness and provides individual prescriptive reports to students and parents. FitnessGram is the national health-related fitness assessment adopted by the Presidential Youth Fitness Program and is the most widely used children's fitness assessment in the world. It serves as a student-centered assessment, reporting, and educational tool used to promote children's health-related fitness and activity levels.
